A hip replacement surgery performed for the first time at Chhapra Sadar Hospital: A bipolar hemiarthroplasty of the femur fracture neck resulted in a new lease on life for Bharat Ram, aged 65.

A major achievement was added to the government health sector in Saran on Wednesday. For the first time, a 65-year-old patient suffering from a severe hip fracture underwent a successful hip replacement at Chhapra Sadar Hospital. Bharat Ram, a resident of Amnour, had suffered a serious hip injury after falling. The examination confirmed a fracture of the femur neck. Considering his age and the condition of the fracture, doctors decided to perform a hip replacement.
