A large portion of the platform is empty: At Platform 9, where there are neither sheds nor stalls, the Patna-Tata Vande Bharat train is starting.

The Patna-Tatanagar Vande Bharat Express, which is scheduled to depart from Platform No. 9 at Patna Junction at 2:05 pm, is being parked at the very end of the platform towards Mithapur despite a large portion of the platform remaining empty. As a result, passengers, especially the elderly and women, are having to drag their heavy luggage up to 400 meters. Surprisingly, the section of the platform where the train's coaches stop is not being used for this purpose.
