Two police personnel, including the in-charge of Patut OP, have been suspended for allegedly brutally beating a shopkeeper and leaving him after taking money.

In Patna district's Ranitalab police station area, two policemen, including the in-charge of Patut police office (PO), have been suspended for allegedly assaulting a local shopkeeper and demanding 20,000 rupees in return for letting him off. This action by the police has caused a stir in the department. According to reports, on September 21, Rohit Kumar Yadav, the in-charge of Patut PO, along with a police team, arrested Upendra Kumar, a local shopkeeper, for allegedly selling ganja.
