In a significant ruling, the Patna High Court stated that rejecting an application for compassionate appointment solely based on the date of registry of the adoption deed is completely incorrect. The court has ordered the Bihar State Power Holding Company to reconsider and decide afresh within three months on the case of the adopted son's compassionate appointment. A single bench of Justice Kumar Manish delivered this verdict while allowing a writ petition filed by Vijay Kumar Sah.
