In the Munger ASI murder case, 8 convicts have been sentenced to life imprisonment with a fine of ₹25,000 each. The ASI had arrived to resolve the dispute on Holi day but was killed by them with rods and sticks.

In the case of the murder of ASI Santosh Kumar Singh in a dispute that occurred on the day of Holi in front of the LIC office in Nandlalpur, Munger district's Mufassil police station area, the court has sentenced eight convicts to life imprisonment. These include Rajiv Kumar, Ranveer Kumar, Raju Kumar, Guddu Kumar, Vikas Kumar, Rekha Devi, Sarita Devi, and Mausam Kumari. The court of ADJ Manisha Kumari sentenced all eight accused during a hearing on August 24th.
