The dispute that started over irrigating a paddy field in Ramnagar, Bagaha, escalated to the point where one family lost its earning member. In Junda Pakri village, under the Ramnagar police station area, on the morning of September 15th, a minor water dispute led to an altercation and assault between two parties. It is alleged that during this time, Manager Manjhi (32), a resident of Khatauri village, was attacked with a फरसा (a traditional weapon) and murdered.
