BSNL cable theft gang busted in Sheikhpura, 1 thief arrested: accused caught cutting underground copper cables, bike and e-rickshaw recovered; search on for 5 others.

In Sheikhpura, the Nagar police station arrested a member of a gang that had stolen underground copper cables worth lakhs of rupees from the BSNL office premises. The accused has been identified as Rohit Kumar, a resident of Nasratpur in the Dhanarua police station area of Patna district. He is said to be the son of Sudama Bind. According to information received by the police while cutting the cable, the accused was caught red-handed inside the BSNL office premises stealing underground copper cables worth lakhs of rupees.
