Patna - CBI caught a female Income Tax officer taking a bribe: demanded ₹75,000 for the 12A-80G certificate, clerk also arrested; will appear in Central Agency Court today.

In Patna, the Income Tax Department's Assistant Commissioner, Sunanda Kumar, has been arrested by the CBI for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹15,000. This arrest is in connection with a case where she was caught demanding a bribe of ₹75,000 in exchange for issuing 12A and 80G certificates to an NGO. The CBI has also apprehended a clerk from the department who assisted the official in accepting the bribe. During the operation, the CBI team recovered the bribe amount as well.
