The day after being transferred to the Mohania checkpost in Kaimur, Enforcement Inspector Amit Kumar Gupta came under the radar of the Economic Offences Unit (EOU). The EOU raided his premises on charges of amassing illegal assets worth over ₹1.49 crore from legitimate income. When the EOU team arrived at his residence in Bhojpur, Amit Gupta did not open the door for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, he threw a black bag filled with notes onto a neighbor's roof.
