The disaster management team has assessed the flood-affected Ghatakusumbha area and will submit a report to the government, demanding that the region be declared a flood zone.
A three-member team from the State Disaster Management Department arrived in Ghatkusampha block of Sheikhpura on Saturday evening to assess the situation in villages that have been surrounded by the Harohar river for about 15 days. The team visited several villages, including Panapur, Alapur, Koyla, and Baoghat, as well as the block headquarters. During their visit, they inspected the waterlogging conditions and also examined the Harohar river. The three-member team from Patna was led by Avinash Kumar, Joint Secretary of the Disaster Management Department.
