The JDU has demanded reconsideration of the Farakka water treaty, with Sanjay Jha stating in Khagaria that Bihar's needs should be taken into account until 2050.
On Wednesday, the Janata Dal (United) raised a demand for reconsideration of the Farakka water treaty from Khagaria. The party stated that this treaty is linked to the interests of Bihar. This demand was made at the 'Nitish Dialogue on Farakka Water Treaty' program held at Sharda Farm House in Bachauta Road. JDU National Executive President Sanjay Kumar Jha and State President Umesh Singh Kushwaha were present at the event. They informed party workers and the general public about the alleged effects of the treaty.
