In Bihar, a new technological system is being implemented to make irrigation in fields more accessible and affordable. For the first time in the state, an advanced irrigation technology called 'Asha Model' (Automated Solar Powered Based High Efficiency Irrigation Application) is being developed. This model combines traditional furrow-pine systems with modern technology. The primary objective of this new system is to completely eliminate farmers' dependence on diesel pumps and expensive electricity.
