Janmashtami 2026: The festival of Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great fervor in Sangamnagar. The procession of Makhan Chor (butter thief) was decorated and the celebration took place with faith, devotion, and joy in Prayagraj. From cities to rural areas, temples and homes were adorned with attractive decorations. While some had a captivating procession of Lord Krishna's childhood, others featured vivid depictions of Krishna's characters like Kansa Vadh (the killing of Kansa), Makhan Chori (butter theft), Rasleela, and Putna Vadh (the killing of Putana), all of which attracted devotees.
