In Maharashtra's Nanded, on Thursday, Sukhbir Singh Badal, the president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, was attacked. According to police, a Nihang attacked him with a kirpan at Gurdwara Mata Sahib Kaur. Badal sustained an injury in his hand. A policeman deployed for his security was also injured during the attack. The incident occurred at 1:50 pm. Police have arrested Jaspal Singh, the Nihang accused of the attack.
