The monsoon has once again become active in Jharkhand. The low-pressure area formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal and the adjoining West Bengal-North Odisha coast has now transformed into a well-marked low-pressure area. Due to its impact, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in many parts of the state today. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Garhwa, Palamu, Latehar, Chatra, Simdega, and West Singhbhum for today.
