ED action in the 734 crore GST scam: Jamshedpur scrap businessman Gyanchand Jaiswal arrested, raids at six locations.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Gyanchand alias Bablu Jaiswal, a scrap dealer from Jamshedpur, and his son Raj Jaiswal in connection with the ₹734 crore fake Goods and Services Tax Input Tax Credit (ITC) scam. A team from the Ranchi ED conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations in Jamshedpur, Kolkata, and Deoghar on Wednesday. After their arrest late at night, the father-son duo was taken to MGM Hospital for medical examination.
