In Chatra's Tandwa police station area, a mob pelted stones at the police team that arrived after receiving information about a woman and young man allegedly being held hostage in Sidpa village. In this incident, Tandwa Station In-charge Pappu Kumar Sharma and Sadar Station In-charge Anil Oraon were injured. The Station In-charge sustained serious injuries on his head and face, with six stitches required. According to the Station In-charge, the police had to fire four rounds of shots in self-defense to escape the aggressive mob.
