Pratul Shahdev said: "It is a heinous act to smear Dr. Shyama Prasad's statue with black ink."

Pratul Shahdeo, the chief spokesperson of Jharkhand BJP, has strongly condemned the incident of anti-social elements smearing black soot on the statue of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee in Harmu, Ranchi. He stated that Dr. Mukherjee is a symbol of the nation's unity and integrity. Such a heinous act is not only an insult to a great man but also to the democratic and nationalist consciousness of the country. Pratul termed this incident as a weak law by the Hemant government.
