Residential certificate issued against rules, notice to Dumri CO: Chief Electoral Officer gave guidelines to election officials across the state via video conferencing.

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Jharkhand, K. Ravi Kumar, held a review meeting via video conferencing regarding the ongoing Special Intensive Review (SIR) of the voter list in the state. The CEO instructed EROs, AEOs, and Additional AEOs across the state on how to resolve claims and objections and verify documents correctly. During this time, a case from Dumri Anchal office in Giridih district, where a residential certificate was issued disregarding rules, came up for discussion.
