The police from Hansdiha police station in Dumka recovered the body of Sonu Kumar, a cook for BJP MLA Devendra Kunwar from Jarmundi, hanging from a room in his Nonihat Dak Bungalow on the evening of August 24th. Based on the uncle's statement, the Hansdiha police had registered a case against nine people, including the MLA, for murder and hanging the body. The police were investigating the death as suspicious. The post-mortem report of the deceased was released on Tuesday. The cause of death in the report is stated to be hanging.
