Raids on several shops; sale of expired and substandard products banned.

The Food Safety Department has become fully alert with the aim of completely banning the sale of adulterated and substandard food items in the district. In line with the guidelines of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) New Delhi, a comprehensive and surprise intensive inspection drive was conducted in urban areas on Tuesday. This special joint action was taken by the Joint Commissioner of Food Safety (Ranchi), Deputy Commissioner of Gumla, and officials from the Jharkhand government.
