Monsoon is sluggish in Haryana, with mercury crossing 35°C in 13 districts: Hisar is the hottest city; the weather will change from September 1st.

In Haryana, the heatwave has returned with intense sunshine and humidity, marking a return of the monsoon's respite. Temperatures in 13 districts of Haryana - Hisar, Bhiwani, Mahendragarh, Rohtak, Faridabad, Charkhi Dadri, Sirsa, Nuh, Palwal, Ambala, Rewari, Jhajjar, and Gurugram - have been recorded above 35°C. In two districts, Hisar and Bhiwani, the daytime temperature has crossed 37°C. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at Chandigarh, the monsoon trough line has shifted towards the Himalayas' Terai region.
