Sanitation workers extend strike until September 2nd: Decision taken at a state-level meeting in Rohtak; stated that they would lay siege to the CM's residence on the 13th.

In Rohtak, a state-level meeting of the Municipal Corporation Safai Karmachari Sangh was held under the leadership of Naresh Shastri, in which it was announced that the strike would be extended throughout Haryana until September 2nd. It was also decided to hold a state-level Nyay Panchayat in Kurukshetra on September 13th and gherao (surround) the Chief Minister. Naresh Shastri, State President of the Municipal Corporation Employees Union, said that the strike has been extended until September 2nd. He also added that the movement would be intensified.
