A corrupt electricity employee was caught taking a bribe of 200,000 rupees. He had demanded a bribe of 700,000 rupees for installing connections and electric poles; the clerk and other employees were involved in this demand.

A case has come to light in Sonipat where a person allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹7 lakh in the name of providing an electricity meter connection and installing an electricity pole. The ACB Sonipat team took action and arrested an ALM (Assistant Load Master) working at UHBVN Bahalgarh through HKRNL, while accepting a bribe of ₹2 lakh, red-handed. The role of a clerk and another employee of UHBVN has also surfaced in the case. The accused was arrested red-handed for taking ₹2 lakh.
