During Ganesh idol immersion, 3 youths drowned in a canal: One was initially swept away by the water in Bahadurgarh, while two others were rescued. The SDRF recovered 2 bodies.

In Haryana's Rohtak area, three young men drowned in the NCR canal while attempting to immerse a Ganesh idol. One of the men had stepped into the water for immersion when he suddenly disappeared into deep water. Two of his companions jumped in to rescue him, but due to the strong current, both men were swept away by the canal. Upon witnessing the accident, other devotees who had come with the young men raised an alarm. During this time, some people present there also entered the water.
