In Haryana, the heat and humidity have made life difficult for people amidst a decline in monsoon activity. The state has recorded an increase in its average maximum temperature, which is about 3.2 degrees Celsius higher than normal. Hisar was recorded as the hottest city in the state, with temperatures reaching up to 38.7 degrees Celsius. According to reports of maximum temperatures, mercury levels in four major cities of the state are at or above 37 degrees Celsius.
