Cane farmers hold a meeting at Maham Sugar Mill, demanding a price of ₹600 per quintal; submitted a memorandum to the manager addressed to the Chief Minister.

In the Rohtak area of India, sugarcane farmers held a panchayat at the Maham Sugar Mill premises. The panchayat was called to discuss issues such as setting the price of sugarcane at Rs 600 per quintal and other related matters. It was presided over by Wazir Singh. After the panchayat, a memorandum was submitted to the Chief Minister. Balwan Singh, a leader of Maham Sugar Mill and Kisan Sabha, stated that sugarcane farmers are not receiving the full cost price for their produce, resulting in significant losses and prompting them to consider abandoning sugarcane cultivation.
