Former MLA sentenced to life imprisonment in murder case: The Mandi broker was shot dead, verdict after 15 years; pleaded for mercy from the court by claiming he was a heart patient.

The Rohtak court has sentenced two-time MLA Balvir Singh alias Bali Pehalwan to rigorous life imprisonment in a murder case. Bali, along with 7 others, was convicted by the court just a day ago. This verdict comes in the Kalanaur grain market commission agent Vishnu Nigana murder case of May 2011. Bali had also been imprisoned for seven years in this case. The sentence was pronounced on Wednesday by the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge (ASD) Kapil Rathi after lunch time.
