In Sonbhadra, police have arrested a woman for allegedly extorting ₹1.60 lakh from a young man in Gujarat under the pretext of arranging his marriage and threatening to kill him. Raipur Police apprehended Madhu Pandey on Wednesday, September 16th, near Hindwari police station in Robertsganj area. ₹6,920 in cash and a keypad mobile phone were recovered from her possession. According to the police, the woman and her accomplices lured the young man with the promise of marriage and cheated him out of the money.
