Due to the changing weather in Varanasi, there has been an increase of 10-15% in skin patients. More than usual number of patients are reaching AYUSH hospital; the SMO advised people to take precautions.
With the changing weather, patients with skin diseases are visiting the Government Ayurveda College Hospital. According to SMO Dr. Dhananjay Kumar, around 10 to 15% of the regular OPD patients are now visiting more frequently for skin-related issues. The main complaints include itching, ringworm, and acne. He explained that due to reduced humidity during the changing seasons, there is an increase in sweating, which can lead to skin disorders. Additionally, viral infections are also on the rise during this time.
