Farmers protest at several toll plazas in Varanasi: The highway turned into a camp with 1000 police personnel deployed, and many farmers were detained.

Farmers have launched a protest on the Varanasi-Azamgarh road, demanding the cancellation of land acquisition and toll collection. Following the farmers' call for action, police have cordoned off the entire highway and toll plazas. When the farmers arrived, they were prevented from proceeding towards the toll plaza, leading to heated arguments. Farmers coming from villages and towns were stopped at various points along the way. Upon receiving information about the arrival of hundreds of farmers, senior officials also reached the toll plaza.
