In Uttar Pradesh, the government cab service 'Bharat Taxi' has been launched. It is currently operating in 5 cities: Lucknow, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, and Varanasi. In the coming days, it will also be launched in the remaining 70 districts of the state. 'Bharat Taxi' is significantly cheaper for passengers compared to Ola-Uber. It claims that the Bharat Taxi app will also increase drivers' earnings. The company will not deduct any commission. Drivers joining this service will have insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh.
