The UP BJP has announced all 11 MLC candidates, including 5 Brahmins and 2 Thakurs. Dhruv Tripathi has been fielded from Gorakhpur without joining the BJP.

The BJP announced its candidates for the remaining 6 seats for UP MLC on Tuesday. It has nominated employee leader Harikishore Tiwari from the Agra graduate seat. Dhruv Kumar Tripathi has been fielded from the Faizabad-Gorakhpur teacher seat. Dhruv is yet to join the BJP; he is currently an MLC from the Teacher's Party from this same seat. Pramod Mishra has been fielded from the Kashi teacher seat, and Kedarnath Singh from the graduate seat. Dinesh has been nominated for the Meerut graduate seat.
