The 114-year-old Alam's Ihtijazi procession, which started from the Kalimahal Mosque, was bombed by Russia in 1912 on the orders of Imam Reza in Mashhad city, Iran.

A 114-year-old traditional procession of the Alam was taken out from the Shia mosque located in Kalimahal, Varanasi. The procession passed through Dalmandi, Chowk, Maidagin, Visheshwarganj, Machodari and culminated at the Madrasa Imania in Mukimganj. In 1912, the then Russian Tsar had ordered a bombing on the mausoleum of Imam Reza, the 8th Shia Muslim Imam, located in Mashhad city, Iran, on the 11th day of the Rabi' al-Thani month of the first Islamic calendar.
