The demolition of 181 houses identified in the Dalmandi project of Varanasi was initiated on October 29, 2025. The demolition process was completed on October 5, 2026. On Monday, the PWD carried out the demolition of the remaining 6 houses in Dalmandi using a poclance and a JCB. Additionally, laborers also started the demolition work by climbing onto the houses and using their hands.
