The rain has stopped in Uttar Pradesh, but the rivers are overflowing. The Ganges, Sharda, and other 15 rivers are flowing close to the danger mark. There is flooding in Mahadeva village of Kushinagar. The Gandak River is continuously eroding its banks. In the last two days, six residential huts and two pucca houses have been submerged in the river. Due to rising water levels in the Sai River in Unnao, more than 12 villages are flooded. Thousands of bighas of paddy crop have been submerged due to water filling the fields. Roads have been inundated.
