In Gorakhpur, the Railway Inter-Divisional Hockey Tournament: Lucknow won the final 2-1, defeating Varanasi to become the champion.

The final match of the hockey competition was held on September 10th as part of the Inter-Divisional Sports Basketball, Hockey, Football and Kabaddi Competition-2026 organized in Gorakhpur. The competition is being conducted under the direction of the Principal Chief Safety Commissioner, Resubal, Northeast Railway. Lucknow scored two goals against the teams from Lucknow Division and Varanasi Division at 4 pm in the Syed Modi Railway Stadium. Both teams put on a strong performance to win.
