The wind speed was around 5 km per hour, while the humidity in the atmosphere was recorded at 78%. The city's Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 78. From June 1 to September 21, Varanasi recorded 904.5 mm of rainfall, which is 17% more than normal. According to meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, the monsoon's departure has begun in Uttar Pradesh.
