In Sultanpur, a bus conductor and driver were beaten and their window panes broken. Three to four youths stopped the bus on the highway for not going to Lucknow and assaulted them; an FIR has been registered.

In the Lambhua Kotwali area of Sultanpur, miscreants stopped a roadways bus on the Lucknow-Varanasi highway and assaulted the conductor and driver. The accused forced both men off the bus, beat them up, and also broke its window. The conductor and driver were injured in the attack. After the incident, the accused fled, threatening to kill them. A bus from the Sultanpur depot was coming to Sultanpur with passengers from Banaras. On the way, a dispute arose over the destination of the bus, which was heading towards Lucknow.
