Assault over installing electricity meters in Varanasi: 3 injured, including a young woman, accused of snatching mobile phones and chains; FIR against 7.

A dispute arose between two parties in Kudi village, under the Badagaon police station area of Varanasi, over the installation of an electricity meter. It is alleged that after a verbal altercation, people from one party beat three individuals, including a young woman, with kicks and blows. Three people were injured in the incident. Based on a complaint filed by Iraj Ansari, the police have registered a case against Nuruddin, Riyazuddin, Azharuddin alias Bambam, Mohiuddin, Asjad, Rahmuddin, and Jainuddin. During the assault, mobile phones were damaged.
