For the festival, 3 special trains are running from Varanasi to Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Amritsar, increasing rail connectivity; operations will begin in October.

In anticipation of the increased passenger traffic during upcoming festivals, the Railways will operate three weekly Puja/Festival Special trains connecting Varanasi. These include the Banaras-Kolkata-Banaras, Ahmedabad-Darbhanga-Ahmedabad, and Amritsar-Barauni-Amritsar trains. All three trains will halt at Varanasi or Banaras stations. The operation of these trains will provide additional rail connectivity to passengers from Purvanchal for travel to and from Kolkata, Gujarat, and Punjab.
