In Varanasi, India, the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport was affected by sudden weather deterioration and strong winds on Monday evening, disrupting flight operations. Due to strong winds and poor visibility, three flights arriving in Varanasi were unable to land. As a result of the bad weather, the three flights that arrived at the Varanasi airport from Bengaluru and Hyderabad were diverted to Lucknow by the ATC. The three flights landed between 5:45 pm and 6:10 pm.
