The UP Board has changed its high school evaluation system: there will no longer be internal assessments in science and home science, and the board will conduct a practical exam worth 30 marks.

The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UP Board) has made changes to the high school evaluation system. Now, there will be no internal assessment in Science and Home Science subjects for class 10th. Instead, the UP Board itself will conduct practical exams of 30 marks each. Under the new system, practical marks will also be recorded in the students' mark sheets. The Secretary of UP Board, Bhagwati Singh, issued an order regarding this on September 9, 2026.
