In the city of Vishveshwar, the first idols will be worshipped: a statue made from plaster of Paris has been prepared, and artisans are saying they are struggling with rising costs.

Preparations have been completed in Varanasi for the arrival of Lord Ganesha, also known as Prathamesh. From September 14th, idols of Ganpati will be installed in various areas of the city. The idol of Resham Katra will be a special highlight among them. This year too, sculptors are giving final touches to the Ganpati idols. Most of these idols are being made from plaster of Paris. The artisans are giving them their final shape, but rising inflation has put a strain on their pockets.
