Two shooters arrested from Prayagraj in connection with the Shiv Sena leader's murder: The Mumbai Crime Branch apprehended them, and they were sent away on transit remand. Both are originally from Varanasi.

In the case of the murder of Pradeep (Bala) Purnekar, an office bearer of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) faction in Thane, Maharashtra, the Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested two absconding shooters from Prayagraj. The police team raided and apprehended them upon receiving information that both were hiding in the city. On Friday, both were presented for transit remand. After receiving the remand, the Mumbai Police left with both of them.
