GST evasion worth ₹4.25 crore caught in Varanasi: Four-day long SIB raid, action taken against railway contractor and tent house.

The Special Investigation Branch (SIB) of the Uttar Pradesh state tax department has detected GST evasion worth ₹4.25 crore near the Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW). The SIB has taken action against a railway contractor and a tent house. To catch this, the SIB conducted raids for four days and revealed it late at night. The investigation team had raided BLW on the night of September 18, which continued until the night of September 22. Currently, the team is investigating the contractor and the tent house.
