In Varanasi, ₹4.50 lakh in cash was stolen from a medical store. Thieves also took away 65.8 grams of jewelry by breaking through the wall on the side of the railway track.

A theft occurred at Ajay Medical near the western end of Shivpur railway crossing in Varanasi on Monday night. Thieves broke through the wall towards the railway track behind the shop and fled with 450,000 rupees in cash and approximately 65.8 grams of gold jewelry stored in a steel tin box. When the operator arrived at the shop on Tuesday morning, he found the wall broken, after which the police were informed. The thieves broke into the shop by breaking through the back wall.
