Allegations of misbehavior with Chandrashekhar Azad, highway blockade and protest: Activists protesting on the Varanasi-Gorakhpur highway, dharna (sit-in) continues at the Collectorate.

In Mau, workers of the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) staged a protest on Sunday. The demonstration was held in protest against the alleged misbehavior with the party's national president and Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad. Several workers sat on a dharna on the Varanasi-Gorakhpur highway. Upon receiving the news, police arrived at the scene and removed the workers from the highway after counseling them. However, even by 5:50 pm, the Azad Samaj Party workers continued their dharna at the Mau Collectorate.
