A dispute has erupted over the name of an ancient Shiva temple located on the banks of the Ganges in Varanasi. The Sindhi community has objected to the installation of a board bearing the name 'Pakistanisneshwar Mahadev' outside the Shiva temple situated at Chhoti Sheetla Ghat in the Rajmandir area. On Tuesday, members of the community submitted a memorandum to municipal officials demanding an inquiry into the board and naming, and requesting that the temple be renamed 'Sindhu Gangeshwar Mahadev'.
