A 5-year-old child drowned while bathing in the Ganges: The father had gone 100 meters inside with his two sons on his shoulders in Ghazipur; search is ongoing.

In Ghazipur, a five-year-old boy drowned and was swept away while taking a bath in the Ganges at Dadri Ghat on Saturday morning during the Jivittputrika festival. Rohan Bind, son of Ramsevak Bind, a resident of Mishravalia Barhania in the Rauja area, drowned in the Ganges. After receiving the information, the NDRF and 34th Battalion PAC Bhullanpur, Varanasi team started searching for the child in the Ganges. By late evening, no trace of Rohan could be found. Ramsevak Bind was on his way to meet his wife on Saturday morning when he lost his son.
